Night For The Books 2024
Board members, friends, community partners, and generous benefactors joined us for a night of indulgence in southern gourmet fare by the toothsome Thompson and Co., and signature sips by Mash Bar. We heard from the Ezra Jack Keats award-winning author and illustrator, Heidi Woodward Sheffield, and Ryan Johnson, Principal of Estabrook Elementary.
Guests partook in a silent auction and wine pull all benefitting CLN’s literacy programming for under-resourced children and their families across southeast Michigan, fostering a brighter future through the power of reading. Every laugh, every sip, and every bite contributed to a community where every child has the opportunity to thrive through literacy!
A Night For The Books 2023
This September we enjoyed a night of entertainment and fundraising at Cobblestone Farm in Ann Arbor. There were scrumptious bites from Knight’s restaurant and musical entertainment courtesy of the Bank of Ann Arbor! All funds raised directly contributed to literacy programming for under-resourced children in the Southeast Michigan area.
Thak you to all who attended and supported our annual event!
A Night for the Books 2022
After the success of our first year, we have decided to make this an annual event. The 2022 theme was Mystery! Guests joined CLN for a night of mystery and intrigue that includes a strolling supper, a mystery wine pull, and a silent auction. All proceeds raised directly funded literacy programming for children.
30th Anniversary of CLN
As we reflect on the thirtieth anniversary year of the Children’s Literacy Network, we are humbled by the tremendous work and effort of our board members, volunteers, donors, partners and new community sponsors!
Thousands of people turned out for our 30th year anniversary to show their dedication and support of CLN’s history, progress and sustainability, by attending a fundraising event, being a BookPALS volunteer reading mentor, running a book drive, but most important of all, to increase CLN’s impact on the as a whole.
At CLN, we have so much to be proud of in our 30 years serving the community, but we have a vision for the future. Most of our programs currently have wait lists for participation, and CLN is poised for tremendous growth to serve those who need our support the most.
